The Dual Shrines

The Shrine of Lower Egypt:

Per A'a now approaches the Shrine of Upper Egypt,
accompanied by Nekhbet and Wadjet, Horus and Seth.
The Doors to the Horizon (doors to the shrine) containing the crown are opened.
The High Priest to Horus speaks to the crown incarnated as the goddess:

High Priest to Horus:

"He has come to you, oh Nt-crown;
he has come to you, O Fiery Serpent;
He has come to you, O Great One;
He has come to you, O Great of Magic,
Being pure for you and fearing you.
May you be pleased with him,
may you be pleased with his purity,
and may you be pleased with his speech which he says to you.
How kindly is your face, for you are content, renewed and rejuvenated,
even as the father of the gods fashioned you.
He has come to you, O Great of Magic,
for he is Horus encircled with the protection of his Eye,
O Great of Magic."

The King?s prayer to the Crown of Lower Egypt:

"Ho Nt-crown! Ho Ini-Crown!
Ho Great Crown! Ho Crown of great magic!
Ho Fiery Serpent!
Grant that the dread of me be like the dread of you;
grant that the fear of me be like the dread of you;
grant that the acclaim of me be like the acclaim of you;
grant that the love of me be like the love of you.
Set my bi-scepter at the head of the living,
set my shm-scepter at the head of the spirits,
and grant that my sword prevail over my foes.
Ho Ini-crown!
If you have gone forth from me, so have I gone forth from you."

The crown of Lower Egypt replies to the King:
(spoken by the High Priest to Wadjet):

"If Ikhet the Great has borne you, Ikhet the Serpent has adorned you;
If Ikhet the Serpent has borne you, Ikhet the Great has adorned you,
Because you are Horus encircled with the protection of his Eye."

Horus (in the form of the High Priest) sets the Red Crown on Per aA's head.

The King is now crowned with the Double Crown.
Upper and Lower Egypt is united in peace under one Ruler:
