The Luxor Temple 2

The Court of Ramesses II

On the other side of the Pylons, the Court of Ramesses II. It was here people gathered at religious processions.
The processional colonnade of Amenhotep III lies straight ahead.

The court is surrounded by these tall columns crowned with papyrusbuds.

The Barque shrines of the Theban Triad (Amun, Mut, Khonsu), built by Hatshepsut & elaborated by Ramesses II.
To the right is the mosque of Abu e-Haggag, built right into the temple wall.

Some workers check the column foundations.

See the relief of Het-Hert on the column to the left?
