The double temple of Heru and Sobek must have looked magnificent, located by the Nile. The row of stalls you see just below, are built for merchants who open up when the cruisers arrive.

Approach is through a garden with a restaurant and shops.

Impressive stairs lead up to the temple.

Outside the forecourt, a frieze of Nome deities follow Pharaoh, carrying offerings.

The Winged Disc and Uraeus still graces the two portals.
The left portal leads to the Temple of Sobek and
the right one to the Temple of Heru.
