Karnak, Hypostyle Hall

People swarm into this great hall. But itīs relatively easy to wander off among the columns and get little pockets of silence here and there.


Dwarfed among the forest of pillars.


Look at the depth of those carvings!


Due to the amount of people everywhere, you tend to look upwards while in the Hypostyle Hall and this is what your reward is.





Sheltered by its placement on the underside of the roof, color is almost as fresh as it was ca 4000 years ago.


Hard to keep oneīs eyes off.
